BTUSizing is a static website: the pages are ordinary files delivered by a content delivery network, and every calculation runs in your browser. Nothing you type into a calculator is sent to us, because there is nothing here to send it to.

What we do not collect

• No account, email address, password or profile. There is no sign-up.
• No documents, photographs or files uploaded, the tools have no upload function.
• No measurement you enter into a tool. Those values stay in your browser.
• No payment details. Nothing on this site is sold directly.

What is stored in your browser

• A cookie choice: which categories you allowed, so you are not asked on every page.
• Tool settings are written into the page address, not into storage. A bookmark or a shared link reproduces the same result.

Clearing your browser storage removes all of it.

Server logs

Our hosting provider records standard request information, IP address, user agent and the URL requested, for security and abuse prevention, and retains it for a limited period. This is ordinary web hosting behaviour and is not used to build a profile of you.

Third parties

These are the only third parties this site contacts. Nothing in this list runs on page load: each one is reached either when you submit the form beside it or after you allow that category.

• Affiliate networks. Tracking which link a purchase came from, so a commission can be paid. Individual merchants are named next to the links themselves.

Advertising

This site does not carry advertising, and no advertising cookies are set.

Affiliate links

Some links to products are affiliate links: if you buy through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate links are disclosed on the page where they appear, not only here. Commissions never influence what a calculation says.

Your rights

If you are in the EEA, the UK, Switzerland or a jurisdiction with similar law, you have the right to access, correct, delete or object to the processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time. Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be noted on the page rather than made silently.
